April 14 - Room Cleaning

So, after not being able to find a bunch of stuff in Riley's room, we figured it was time for a tidy. Little did we know what we were getting into!

April 13 - Donuts

This is how my lovely wife, Holly, eats her donuts.  Instead of taking one she really wants, she picks a bunch that she isn't sure about, then samples each of them until she finds once she does like.
This is what is left over when we're done!

This, too.

The fastest way to ruin my whole morning.

The fastest way to ruin my whole damn morning

I am this.

2013 in the first week

2013-01-06 09.09.10 - Copy

This time of year…

So, it’s almost January.  I’m sitting at home, it’s around 5 PM, and I’m in my PJs and a bright-yellow "Edmonton Marathon” T-Shirt watching the boys play with some of their Christmas toys.  And I get to thinking about riding my bike to work.

I get restless around this time of the year.  Maybe it’s all the food that I’ve had over the last few weeks, or maybe it’s that I haven’t been on bike since October 31st (and haven’t run since Mexico, November 23rd), that I am really starting to feel it.

And just like that, we’re no longer a RIM shop

Thanks be to Rogers..  new handsets for all.  Merry Christmas!

Thanks, VISA.

I’m not sure if it’s just me or what, but as a boy, I really liked getting the mail.  So much so, that I remember coming home from school, and the first thing I would do would take off my shoes, and get the mail, and bring it to the kitchen.

Then I started paying bills, and all of a sudden, getting the mail was a little less fun.  There were fewer letters from family (remember letters?  The things you did with a pen and paper, and sent with a stamp?), and more notices from people who wanted to get paid.

A Thing for 2013

So, I need a thing to do for 2013.  A few years ago, I did the Photo a Day thing.  At the time, I thought it was a lot of work – and it is – but it has turned out to be nice to have, looking back.

The thought of a video a day is just outright unreal.  I don’t think that I have that much to say that would be of any interest outside of my own family, and recording, editing and posting a video a day just seems like a lot of work.

This madness has to stop

Ok.

I love communicating by email.  So do most of my peers.  But this bullshit has to stop.  I'm talking about the subject line that has the whole message included in it:

Why?  Because this.  When I get it on my smart phone, here's what I see (the line with the check):

Useful information please.
