While this isn't really the side of the bed that I get out on, this is my back yard, and what's left of Mini Mountain that I constructed for the kids over the winter. We needed to break up the snow so that it has a chance of melting, and not creating an ice dam under the deck causing my basement to flood. The snow this year has been challenging for two seasons now…
This morning was a bit of a rough start to the day. I had forgotten just how tired I get after biking to work, so when my alarm went off this morning, I somehow managed to turn it off, and go back to bed for two more hours. Oops, so much for biking, nevermind taking transit. Another day in the car.. At least the price of gas is going down.
Since I managed to go to work "on time" (I'm usually early.. 6:30 am or so), I didn't leave until "normal time", which also meant I get home "late". This roughly translated into me not being home in time for a run before dinner. So, we try again later in the week.
Tomorrow.. Big day for Riley - it's Dad's Night at preschool! Followed up by a (hopefully) short meeting with my co-instructor for the Intact Half marathon clinic and the corresponding walker half marathon group.
Until then!
