April 2 - Look how close they are!

April 2 - Look how close they are!

In February of 2001, when Holly and I were still dating, I remember getting this phone call that went something like this:

"Don't mind the sound coming from your bathroom when you get home."

"Oh?" I answer

"Yeah.  And if you can bring a litter box, some cat food, and you'll probably want to have some clean PJs".

" …. "

This is how Yoda came into our lives - a stray that Holly found on the way to work and we kinda adopted her along the way.

Kaylee, the black one on the left, joined our little posse in the summer of 2002 as a kitten from a summer gig Holly had at ATCO gas.  He was always a bit off - we think from the gas fumes...

The two of them never really got along all that well.  I gather male and female cats don't get along at the best of times (instead of two female cats), and even through 4 home moves, Holly and I get married, adding two children to the mix, they still wouldn't see eye to eye.

I came downstairs tonight to get something for some shenanigans going on upstairs, and caught the two of them here.

On the same couch.  At the same time.

The kids really love to chase them both, and Yoda will even go so far as to get caught and be "petted" by the kids, but I expect that they reach a certain pain threshold (not unlike Holly and I) and eventually need to bugger off from the kids for a bit.

Today was uneventful, as usual - Another trip to Costco and to MEC (got the kids some splash pants for the kids), and a nice evening of watching Harry Potter before bed.

Tomorrow..  Eh, who knows.
