April 24 - Left-Overs

April 24 - Left-Overs

Here's what's left of Easter Dinner - crumbs on the plate.  It was good, allthough the boys didn't have a single bite of it until desert was offered, and Riley changed his tune..  But otherwise, the kids didn't have anything.

That's what an afternoon of eating chocolate will do for you.

Church was long.  Too long.  I'm sorry to my friends and family who are more devout to their faith than I am, but 90 minutes is too long of a service when you're trying to appeal to young families with kids.

It's especially a bad sign when other families with kids are leaving mid-service.

With Church over, we got home, and the kids ran around outside in the warming spring weather.  The snow is almost completely gone from the yard, but there's still patches of it, which means there's water, which means mixing it with sand.. Which reminds me to get about 50lbs more sand before the season gets into full swing.

After that, we packed our stuff up, and headed out to see my parents and Holly's mom and grandfather.  Dinner was good, went too late for the kids, but we all did well in the end.

Riley didn't quite make it all the way home - I think he fell asleep on the last stretch before home, but made it to bed without much grief.

All in all, a good day.

Tomorrow: I've got the day off.  I have no idea what's in store, but we may try to get our missing long run in, and otherwise..  I dunno, whatever moves us.
