Have you ever played Guitar Hero Legends of Rock ? It's the latest (and last) Guitar Hero title that Activision put out. Holly and I are working our way through the quest, and we just finished unlocking the 8th "warrior", and were working our way through the midway point event so we could move on.
The first half went well - I was on drums, and it was a bit difficult in places, but nothing I couldn't handle… but the second part.. Well, that was a bit different.
We only managed 7 stars out of the required 12, and the game was prompting us to go on by telling us we needed to CHARGE THE GUITAR! Which is supposed to be this legendary guitar that's stuck in a chunk of rock. Excalibur much? Anyhow. This game has reached its corn and suck quota with me. I don't know how much more of this I can take, but really…
So yeah, about the picture. We made our way to the mall this morning to get Holly a new pair or two of glasses, and otherwise take care of some loose ends. Since it was early morning, we knew we were going to get breakfast there. We picked up some cinnamon buns and coffees, but forgot to get something for the kids. So Holly goes off to get a cup of milk for Lukah and a bottle of Apple Juice for Riley.
I was trying to get a pic of the two of them together, but when I get around to reviewing all the pictures I did take today, this one made me laugh the most. Charge the guitar? Charge this, you a-hole.
Tomorrow - forecast calls for -21, but -30 with the wind. My last run with the clinic may be A) small and B) short (6km) since I don't expect anyone will want to hang out in the cold for too long.
After which, the 4 of us will head up to Servus to run the track a bit for Holly.
And that will more or less conclude the weekend.
