Feb 5 - Ski!

Wow, what a day!  It seems like every time I come down to Sunshine, we have a wonderful day skiing.  Conditions were great, weather was nice, and I heard that kids were behaving well for Mommy and Grandma.

I had some technical issues with the equipment - my boots were rubbing my feet the wrong way, and I wasn't fond of the skis I rented.  They worked, but I'd rather have something a little bit longer and a bit faster.

So today's picture is from some point on Goats Eye looking back into the valey.  If you look close enough, you can see the chalet at the base of the mountains.

Kyle had bought an AVLogic Mini Sports Cam which we had a lot of fun with.  It's too bad the recording length is only about two hours because the one video that Heather was trying to take got cut off, but otherwise it was conveniently in use at a right time…  more on that in a later post (or, video).

Tomorrow, we'll head out for an 8k run as part of the Get Holly Ready For A 10km Race training series.  After, the girls have a trip to the spa to get a facial as part of a Christmas gift.  Then…  the trip home.

I don't mind hanging out in Calgary, except for the whole thing about having to pack up the house, bring enough stuff for the kids to be entertained, figuring out food and transportation, it becomes a lot of work to have a "weekend away" in Calgary.
