Feb 7 - I missed the bus!

Feb 7 - I missed the bus!

Does anyone else remember the song?  It was by Kris Kross, way back in 1992 (when we were all in the EU), and it's kinda lame.

But that about sums up how I felt today: Lame.  I rushed to pack up my stuff, but in the end I wasn't fast enough - so here's me looking out as the #74 goes driving by.

It was an interesting day on ETS.  I watched a mom (possibly single, hard to say) and her mother tell a little boy who was Riley's age to behave, and stand near them, otherwise he would die when he got hit by the bus.  The funny part?  Both of them are smoking.  That's great, ya know, because at least if he gets hit by the bus, it's his choice.  Instead, you're killing him.

I also get to see the other single mom, who is of Indian descent, really care for her daughter (probably 7 or 8?) as they made their way on and off the crowded bus.  It was interesting to see the departure from the typical stereotype.

Anyhow..  Apart from missing the first bus of the evening, the trip was fairly blah.  Work was about the same - more Windows 7 issues, and weirdness that we sorted out, and trying to figure out how to push forward on some long running issues.

9 work days left until some well deserved down time.
