I hate it when Drupal eats my posts. Sigh.
Anyhow.
The word "mundane" would be a complete understatement for today. Dealt with more printer crap? Yep. Today it turns out that a dead hard drive in the demo model is the cause of the failure which resulted in several print jobs being eaten by the machine. Print a job from the machine itself, and the job spools out. Print a job from Windows, and nothing ever happens. Soo, yeah. At least its a demo unit, and the vendor is eager to please. Too bad the prices came in, and they're higher than what we're paying now. Hmm.
A few more Windows 7 migrations came and went today. Whoopie? I had one user ask me to remove his backups because they contained personal data. Well, uhm, it's a company computer, and I back it up all the time anyways... so your personal data has been getting copied to my tapes for a long, long time. Besides, last time I was asked to remove data for a user resulted in a termination.
Over the weekend, we had a user's computer get dropped (on the monitor, no less) so we did some work and determined that the hard drive was OK which was the biggest concern. However, the computer continues to exhibit some oddities - not waking up from sleep, odd USB behavior and so on... so more time to poke at it is needed.
Anyhow.. onward.
