What you see here is 3 buckets of freshly picked strawberries, picked earlier today from Prarie Gardens farm. We've gone there before for berries, as well as some Halloween events, but I don't think we've seen this many strawberries ready at once. It took us 45 minuts for Holly and I to get these buckets picked. I admit, Riley "helped" - he managed to get berries into his bucket before they got to his mouth.
In fairness, the boys didn't eat any at all, so it made the picking go by so much faster.
After picking what felt like a ton of berries, we slaved through 4 to 5 hours of jam making, generating a total of 44 jars of nommy strawberry jam.
Sunday: 12k run (ahh, nice and short) and a trip out to my folks for the evening.
