June 5 - More Biking!

After my morning run (which the boys and Holly didn't come on because we figured the weather was garbage), we kicked back and relaxed a bit, then headed out to my parents place for the afternoon to do the usual cleaning thing that we do every other week or so.

When we pulled up in the driveway, we were greeted with a new trailer bike - a bike that has one wheel and a long arm that hinges on the seat post frame of the "big" bike, so that the person riding on the trailer can peddle and try to steer, but otherwise is being towed by the adult in the front.  This was epic and awesome for Riley, so loads of fun ensued.

Lukah, not wanting to be left out, got his helmet and hopped on the tricycle and did his thing around the driveway.  The main attraction for the 2 year old was the horn, of course, but you gotta start somewhere.

Late in the day, Holly put Lukah on the rack seat (you know, the kind of child seat that anchors to the carrier on your bike) and we went for a little 5k ride around the park, through the forest by the schools and whatnot.  Lukah had his grumps on through most of it, but gave an adamant nod of the head when asked if he had fun.

So in all, we all got a bit of fun in the sun today.  Tomorrow is a 5 day week, which is going to be effing brutal..  But I'm sure I'll come out on the other side in one piece.
