Wow, I managed to type the date without screwing it up. That's a first for the year!
Todays picture comes from Mountsberg Conservation Area, where we spent the late morning / early afternoon. We had planned on doing the whole tour, but found that facility wasn't completely open. It worked out in the end; we walked around the park for a bit, saw how sap was tapped from maple trees, and otherwise had some fun in the sun & snow. The boys had lots of fun running around from tree to tree testing the taste of the tree sap, then we stopped for a quick snack before heading to the barn area.
Tonight, we headed out for dinner (just the 4 adults.. Ooh, a treat!) while Mel's sister and husband babysat for us. It was nice to be able to sit down and chat a little bit, and thankfully Nat didn't try to kill off Lukah again!
Tomorrow, we fly home on a bright and early, and with the time change, should be home with plenty of time to spare in the day to get my brain in order for the last two days of the week.
I've had a bunch of time to NOT think about work - which has been great - but upon return, it's moar Windows 7 deployments and working on the Intranet. I have no idea how we're going to get a site live in a few weeks time, but if we're going to hit the launch goal, it's going to take a bit of an effort to get everything in place. I'm sure it will all work out in some form or another, but I have a bit of worry about this one. Heck, I have a bit of a worry about all of my performance objectives.
So, thank you Nat and Jeremy for watching the kids, and thanks Chris and Mel for the generous hospitality - it has truly been wonderful!
