Today started out with Riley asking to watch the "Earthquake Movie". So, back to CNN via JustinTV for a little bit this morning. Oh, and we had toast with PB&J with coffee for breakfast, with Pixie Sticks chasers. That was a mistake. Anyhow..
We didn't get up to a whole lot today, which was nice except for the kids going a bit loopy. We got Lukah colouring (today's picture) and Riley learning his shapes, letters and numbers. It's interesting watching a little brain learn - I know he can recognize the letters of the alphabet, but writing them is a different story, and one that I'm not really sure how to cope with. For now, we're taking the repetition - Lots of practice writing letters, and rewarding progress.
I guess he's doing OK in numbers - he's more than happy to count out the number of crackers I'm handing out to him. Typical logically-minded male child.
Tomorrow: Another quiet day on the docket, I think. Holly and I are planning to get out for a run, the last before our 10k next weekend. Depending on how things go, we'll run 8 or 10k, with a stop at the library and/or Save-On for a few items on the way back. Nothing quite like pushing a 100lbs stroller with groceries to make you appreciate those days without them a little bit more!
