March 13 - It's finally nice outside

Not much to say for today - Riley and I did a few more letters (but I'm now wondering how much of it he's really retaining, or if he's guessing) this morning, and with the time change and a hard time sleeping, the rest of the crew didn't get up until noon.

Must be nice :)

Anyhow, once everyone was up at it, we took off for a run to the Beaumaris lake, with a stop at the library and grocery store on the way home.  That's where today's picture comes from - Holly hard at it on the way back from the library.  I think this makes for a great profile picture for her for some activity oriented sites and such :)

At least it's not some horrible number below zero anymore.  And if you look close enough, you can actually see the snow melting on the road beside us!  By the time we got back to the grocery store (and about 1km from home), we had both peeled off gloves, hats and jackets.  Holly was down to what we see here, and I was in a t-shirt.  Sure was a nice change from the track and from the cold.

I have been uploading my runs to the Daily Mile website, as well as my beloved Sport Tracks.  Daily Mile has a nice interface and syncs (generally) nicely with my Garmin.  It can be setup to post immediately to Facebook and/or Twitter when new runs are added, nifty little blog widgets, and so on.  Kinda cool, but it still erks me that I can't get my data out in a nice way…  so I'll still keep dumping my data into Sport Tracks at the same time.

Oh, and I think I'm going to rollerblade to work at least once this summer.  Should be highly amusing.  I almost want to buy one of those little cameras that Kyle has and make a time-lapse video of the ordeal.

This week…  ugh.  Full week back at work.  We're back on the Windows 7 upgrade train again, hopefully hitting some more Intranet items, and another group of users is getting switched over to laptops from desktops.

Should be fun!
