It's Friday the 13th, and as of this writing, nothing that bad has happened. Is Friday the 13th only superstitious if you believe that it is, and since I generally hope that nothing goes wrong on any given day, I don't know that I necessarily believe that Friday the 13th is really bad luck.
Today's picture is of Lukah, listening to my HAM radio quite intently. I pulled it out last night during a power outage, trying to find out if the wind we were experiencing was going to turn into a tornado, but as it turns out it was just high wind gusts and it was nothing to worry about. But, I had left the radio out, and it's got about 20 buttons on the front face, along with knobs and lights on the top - completely irresistible for any 2 year old. So, disable the ability to transmit, and let him listen to some conversation on a local repeater.
Every so often, I want to get back into amateur radio.. But I don't even have time to do the things I already do, so it kind of takes a back burner.
Anyhow.. Saturday is on deck, and we're hoping to get out for a run that we've been putting off all week, get to the farmers market, and out to a birthday party for a friend.
Should be enough to keep us busy!
