In my usual fashion for the week, I'm a day behind. Hopefully I can get back on top of things today, but I'm not overly optimistic.
Today was pretty tame - a trip to Wal Mart for groceries for the week, followed up by Carmen's 4th birthday party. The weather was nice, a bit windy, but as usual Carolyn and Scott put on a good party with lots of friends and food.
The picture is of Holly (middle, bottom) fixing a bubble machine that the horde of girls were playing with. The thing had run out of bubble juju, and the hands of 4 year old girls are just not quite coordinated enough to fill it up.
Riley was more interested in what mommy was doing rather than having the actual bubble machine work - he's got the mind of an engineer (or mechanic..) and just wants to know how things work. When it was all done, he was happy enough chasing bubbles and trying to catch them in his mouth.
Lukah was thrilled to have the 'Dora' backpack that sang the backpack song and had a bunch of chalk eggs in it, where he could go scribble on the easel that was also in the yard.
All in all, it was a nice and apart from the kids showing serious signs of exhaustion, it was a nice day!
Sunday will bring us another 7k run (and the last one, I think) and a jaunt out to do some house sitting.
