May 2 - Happy Election Day!

So today was election day in Canada, and I didn't vote..  Today.  Holly and I had run up to the YMCA to vote in the advanced polls last weekend.  I know most of my 'friends' on Facebook are all like "Boo" and other such sentiment,  but for a moment, imagine that your government can actually take action without being debated into oblivion.

Today's picture has been a source of some grief for me in the mornings.  This is the Edmonton Street Car track.  It runs from about Jasper Ave and 110 Street south to Old Strathcona.  We've been meaning to take it for a couple of years, and it looks like they're doing some work on it this year.  Which is great, except that the bridge is closed from 10 PM to 6 AM, well within the time that I would be crossing the bridge.

I can completely understand though, nothing would ruin a day like having a large chunk of railway timbre fall on your head first thing in the morning.

Anyhow, off to bed - early up for biking.
